Manoir La Sainte sits in the south of the beautiful natural region of ‘La Bouriane’, on the border of the departments Lot and Dordogne. Around the property an undulating forest, surrounded by ancient oaks. This very authentic and impressive country house was built in 1802.

Nestled in peaceful countryside with view on the village, La Sainte provides an intimate base for exploring historic villages, renowned vineyards, and the timeless beauty of rural France.
At walking distance you’ll find the small village of Frayssinet-le-Gélat with its medieval church and a traditional bakery Au Soleil d’Oc (the best in the region).
Opposite La Sainte, at the little lake ‘le plan d’eau’ lies the open air restaurant Le Plan d’O, a nice place to eat, relax and enjoy yourself. Open every day in summer.
In the middle of the village, facing the church, you’ll find Bar Chez Tatou, where you can also sit down and make your choice of very nice dishes from the menu.
At the little cosy supermarket Au Panier Villageois in the village you can buy lots of things. Next to a wide range of delicious cheeses and wines they also sell local and regional products. Also postcards, stamps and the newspaper are available.
The local Plan d’Eau is ideal for swimming in natural water. There is a small beach and fishing is allowed (permit required).
In short: a great start of your holidays.
In the parking lot you can charge your electric car overnight (paid) at the charging point (3.7 kW).

Gabi en Albert zijn fantastische gastheren, die je privacy respecteren en er tegelijkertijd voor zorgen dat alles tot in de puntjes verzorgd is om je verblijf zo optimaal mogelijk te maken.
Een prachtig zwembad - perfect onderhouden, vriendelijke honden, een prachtig uitzicht...
De gîte is van alle gemakken voorzien om zelf te koken met alle heerlijke ingrediënten die je op de lokale markt kunt vinden.
Voor een paar extraatjes raadde Gabi ons aan om op vrijdagavond Moules et Frites te eten in het restaurant aan de overkant van de straat en reserveerde dat voor ons - super!
Ze raadde ons ook aan om te lunchen in een nabijgelegen dorp bij 'Chez Jeanne' en reserveerde dat voor ons - wederom super!
Andere aanbevelingen waren: Avondmarkten waar je je eigen servies, bestek en tafelkleed meeneemt en dineert bij kraampjes van lokale producenten, begeleid door live entertainment. De lokale bakker is op loopafstand (uitzonderlijke patisserie op zondag!), dagelijkse lokale markten in verschillende steden en vele andere schatten van Le Lot.
Als je het geluk hebt om een geschikte datum te vinden, aarzel dan niet om te boeken!
We zouden zeker teruggaan…

Niets is hen teveel. Uitleg vragen over bezienswaardigheden, marktjes,...direct werd je geholpen. La Sainte is de ideale plek om eens helemaal tot rust te komen.
We werden zeer hartelijk ontvangen in La Sainte. Gabina en Albert waren zo gastvrij en aardig.
We waren er tijdens een hittegolf en hebben enorm genoten van het koele, maar gezellige huis, de comfortabele bedden en het fantastische zwembad!
Ik kan een verblijf hier zeker aanbevelen als je in de buurt bent - en neem zeker een kijkje bij de plaatselijke bakker!
Gabi & Albert are wonderful hosts, respecting your privacy, while at the same time ensuring every detail is attended to, to make your stay the best it could be.
A beautiful pool – impeccably maintained, friendly canine companions, gorgeous views….
The gite is equipped with every possible thing you might need to self-cater using all the delicious ingredients available from the local markets.
For a couple of treats, Gabi recommended Friday evening Moules et Frites at the restaurant over the road and booked it for us – superbe!
She also recommended lunch in a nearby village at ‘Chez Jeanne’ and booked it for us – again superbe!
Other recommendations included; evening gastro markets where you take your own crockery, cutlery & tablecloth and dine from stalls of local producers accompanied by live entertainment, the local baker a short walk away(exceptional patisserie on Sundays!), daily local markets in different towns and many other treasures of Le Lot.
If you’re lucky enough to find dates that suit – don’t hesitate to book!

Nothing is too much trouble for them. Questions about sights, markets, etc. were answered immediately. La Sainte is the ideal place to completely unwind.
We received a very warm welcome at La Sainte, Gabina & Albert were so welcoming and kind.
We visited in a heatwave and really enjoyed the cool, but cosy home, comfortable beds and amazing swimming pool!
Would highly recommend a stay here if you're in the area - and do check out the local bakery!
